'Our children are at the heart of everything we do'

Our YouTube channel has been designed to showcase some of the fantastic work we feel we offer to our students on a daily basis. You can find tutorials, highlights, areas of work and so much more! Children are at the heart of everything we do, and we hope you'll see this throughout our videos.

But how did this all start?

During lockdown of March 2020 (due to COVID-19), we created the channel to make sure our children still felt connected to the school during the difficult times. Weekly Devotions and Active Challenges were put on, as well as a series called 'This is Us'.

The series, which ran every Friday, showed elements of our school that we feel it makes us unique. Families at home, and keyworker children at home could all tune into the channel 3 times a week at 1pm for new content that was released.

"The videos are fantastic, they are making my children feel really settled at home and they can't wait to get back to school!"

Everything that was put onto our channel was a glimpse of what happens in school on a daily basis. The content was never a surprise as everyone would see the content run through the school. A terminology using a 'stick of rock from the seaside' was mentioned...

"Just imagine this piece of rock is our school. Both ends of the rock it say's 'God's Love in Action', our school motto. If you were to snap it in half you would still see 'Gods Love in Action'. Our school motto runs through everything we do, including our YouTube channel." (quote from the End of Year Celebration video).

As children returned as normal in September 2020, we decided to continue the channels content with weekly devotions. Due to restrictions, we felt it was a great way to continue our devotions in class.

The impact of our channel has really benefited the children's learning through difficult times. As an easy tool to use and families to access, it's been refreshing for parents and communities to see what we do.

Make sure to tune in to the channel as much as possible! Weekly content is being realised for all those involved with All Saints Multi Academy Trust, Birmingham.

We would love to hear any feedback regarding the channel. Please feel free to share your thoughts with us...
